Reviews and Ratings
Staying in a room named in honor of my dear brother, William, turned out to be a surprisingly spacious and cozy experience with a lovely seating area overlooking the picturesque garden and hills. A perfect retreat for quiet reading moments. The service was top-notch, balancing style and substance, although some staff were temporary helpers. The location was an ideal oasis for nature lovers, providing access to breathtaking walks like Easdale Tarn and Helm Crag right at the doorstep. Dining was delightful overall, but more menu options would have been appreciated, especially for less formal dining occasions. A truly wonderful place for a peaceful escape with a touch of luxury.
My stay at the hotel was truly wonderful. The rooms were very comfortable with a great bathroom and a lovely little seating area to enjoy the views. Having our own terrace to relax and enjoy a drink was a delightful touch. The downstairs bar had a good selection of beers and wines, and the bar menu offered a wide range of satisfying snacks and meals. The presence of ironing facilities and fresh milk for tea and coffee added to the convenience. However, having the dining room opposite the room was a bit of a downside.
The hotel had a charming intimate atmosphere with clean and comfortable rooms offering stunning views and a jacuzzi bath, combining modern amenities with the quirky charm of its age. The service was great, with helpful staff, a beautiful location, and an excellent breakfast. The location was a peaceful oasis with incredible walks from the doorstep and convenient access to village shops and restaurants. The dining experience was delightful, with well-cooked meals and a spacious, beautifully decorated setting. The facilities were top-notch, providing a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
